Twitter account effectiveness in companies in South Africa 2019-2022
As of 2022, mentions and comments were considered the most frequent methods among South African companies for measuring the effectiveness of their Twitter accounts, as 39 percent cited this method. This marked a noticeable decrease in adherence to this method compared to the previous years, especially in 2019, when 67 percent depended on it. Click-through rates were the second most relied-on method in measuring account effectiveness, with 36 percent, followed by retweets reported by 34 percent of the companies.
