A global survey taken in February 2022 explored the reasons why travelers stayed in sustainable accommodation at least once over the past year. The most common reason was that they wanted to help reduce their environmental impact, with 41 percent of respondents stating this was the case. Meanwhile, 33 percent of respondents said it was because they wanted to have a more locally relevant experience.
