In 2022, 79 percent of respondents in Portugal said they would like to be rewarded for seniority of their insurance contract. Another decisive factor while selecting a life and personal accident insurance is the price, being valued by 70 percent share of respondents. About 55 percent of respondents said they are willing to pay more for serious illness coverage and half said they will pay more for unemployment coverage. About 49 percent of respondents conveyed confidence is purchasing an insurance directly from the insurer, meanwhile, 39 percent prefer the mediation.
