In 2022, the prices for a hamper with essential food products rose continuously, reaching its highest value in November, at more than 219 euros. In 2023, prices continued to rise, reaching the highest cost in March, meaning that Portuguese families had to pay more than 234 euros to supply their pantry with essential food items. The year 2024 kicked off with the highest value for a hamper of the period analyzed, surpassing 243 euros in January. By mid-August, however, the price of a hamper was the lowest of 2024, at 223.82 euros.
