Mobile internet penetration in Czechia 2011-2024, by connection type

Connection to the internet via Wi-Fi was more popular among the Czechs than connecting via mobile data in the observed period. In 2024, 73.6 percent of people used mobile data, while 78 percent connected to the internet via Wi-Fi on their smartphone.

Supplementary notes

Survey for the year 2024 was carried out on 5,904 individual persons aged 16+ and 3,850 reached households, the data was subsequently converted through post-stratification with respect to the whole population aged 16 or older which amounted to 8,8 million people and 4,5 million households. CAPI and CATI survey types were used.

The value is the percentage of the total number of Czechs aged 16+ in the given groups. Answers are not mutually exclusive.
