The popularity of the company boomed during the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic as the closure of many gyms forced fitness fans to keep active in the comfort of their own homes. During an April 2022 survey, some 13 percent of respondents stated that they would not have bough a Peloton tread were it not for the health crisis.
