According to a survey on elections in the Philippines in 2022, approximately 30 percent of respondents stated that they received information on election-related news through Facebook. This was followed by the official candidate's website. In that year, around 65.7 million Filipinos were registered as eligible voters, with an addition of approximately 1.7 million overseas voters.
