According to a survey conducted in October 2021 in Japan, the number of people going to amusement parks, zoos, and aquariums amounted to an estimated 21.33 million people. This was the lowest result during the surveyed period, showing the negative effects the COVID-19 pandemic on recreational and theme parks in Japan.
