Travel and tourism spending worldwide grew by approximately 21.5 percent in 2023 compared to the previous year. In 2023, total spending by domestic travelers amounted to 4.86 trillion U.S. dollars, recovering from the impact of COVID-19. In contrast, global international spending remained below pre-pandemic levels, totaling 1.59 trillion U.S. dollars in 2023.
