Between 2019 and 2021, Western Europe consistently had the most greenfield renewable and alternative foreign direct investment projects. Western Europe accounted for nearly one-third of the FDI projects worldwide during the period of consideration. CEE and CIS showed the most growth in terms of the number of FDI projects between 2019 and 2021.
