Attitude of fathers towards paternity leave and parental allowance Germany 2021

In 2021, about 42 percent of fathers in Germany took parental leave. 65 percent said this was because spending as much time with their children as possible was important to them. 27 percent of fathers who did not take parental leave did so because they did not want to drastically reduce their working hours.
