The social networking service Mixi was used by around two percent of people in Japan in fiscal year 2022. The penetration rate dropped by around six percentage points since fiscal year 2014. Mixi is operated by Mixi, Inc. and was once Japan's leading social network.

The Japanese fiscal year starts on April 1 of the stated year and ends on March 31 of the following year. Figures for previous years are based on earlier surveys, each with a sample size of 1,500 respondents.
