Leading reasons for switching cigarette brands in China 2020

According to a survey among Chinese smokers in 2020, around a quarter of respondents said they never switched cigarette brands. In comparison, about 22.3 percent of respondents said they would switch to other brands if the cigarettes they smoked raised the price.

Around 26.8 percent of the respondents were between 18 and 25 years old, 37 percent were between 26 and 35 years old, 22 percent were between 36 and 45 years old, 13 percent were between 46 and 60 years old, and 1.2 percent were above 60 years old.

Around 57.8 percent of the respondents had an annual income of more than 100,000 yuan, and around 34.8 percent of the respondents had an annual income of more than 200,000 yuan.
