During the first quarter of 2023, social media and microblogging platform Parler registered approximately 14 thousand downloads in the NALA region, down by the over 100 thousand downloads recorded in the region during the first quarter of 2022.
At the beginning of September 2022, Parler was reinstated in the Google Play Store after adding a more thorough moderation process for the user-generated content hosted on the platform. Parler was removed from the app store in January 2021 after the events that lead to the Capitol attack on January 6, 2021. The app was reinstated in the Apple App Store in May of the same year.
