As of 2022, Nigeria's federal government receives the largest share of the Federation Accounts Allocation Committee (FAAC) revenue, at over 52 percent. On the other hand, states and local governments receive about 27 percent and 21 percent of the allocation, respectively. According to the source, oil-producing states obtain revenues higher than non-oil-producing states, as additional derivation funds are given to the former.
