Between January and June 2022, Delta state received Nigeria's highest Federation Accounts Allocation Committee (FAAC) revenues in Nigeria, at 123 billion Nigerian naira (NGN) (284 million U.S. dollars). In contrast, Plateau, Ekiti, and Osun received some of the lowest FAAC allocations in that period, with amounts reaching 16.5 billion NGN or less. Overall, more than 1.2 trillion NGN (2.8 billion U.S. dollars) were distributed across 36 states in Nigeria. According to the source, five of the leading zones listed here are oil-producing states receiving a 13 percent derivation fund besides their FAAC allocations.
