Outstanding loans from money lending companies in Japan 2015-2024, by recipient
As of March 2024, outstanding loans from money lending business operators in Japan amounted to around 41.2 trillion Japanese yen. Outstanding loan debt of business operators increased to 33.2 trillion yen, up from 29.5 trillion yen in the previous year. Money lending business operators are companies that engage in money lending but do not accept deposits. They are regulated under the Money Lending Business Act.
