According to a survey conducted in South Korea in 2022, by June of that year 50 people who had graduated from e-sports academies had gotten employment. 44 of them were hired as pro gamers. In comparison to the 632 graduates from such academies that year, this was a very low number. In total, there were 13 e-sports academies in South Korea, and not all of them were able to be surveyed.
