Sports fans' opinions on equal prize money worldwide 2022

A little more than two thirds of global survey participants believed that the wages of professional sports players should be based on skill and not gender according to an August 2022 report. Moreover, 56 percent of surveyed sports fans believed that tennis tournaments should award equal prize money to men and women, whereas 51 percent of respondents held the opinion that men and women should earn equal prize money for winning the FIFA World Cup.
