In 2022, the main reason why Brazilian consumers had not yet purchased on social media was due to their fear of sharing their purchase data and being scammed. Among those surveyed, just over 30 percent reported they had not adopted social commerce for that exact reason. In addition, 24 percent of respondents said they did not even know that buying products via social media was even possible.
