According to a survey conducted in South Korea in 2023, there were 151 pro e-sports gamers from South Korea playing overseas for Overwatch e-sports teams. Overwatch, alongside League of Legends (LoL), were the most popular events for South Korean e-sports players to go overseas for. A total of 403 Korean players were playing for teams abroad at the time.
