According to a study conducted in 2021, the Southeast region of Brazil had the highest share of internet users who adopted medical teleconsultation services in the country, with around 29 percent of the interviewed responding they consulted a health care professional online. The Northeast region followed, with approximately 28 percent of respondents aged 16 and older stating they had remotely consulted a health care professional.
