In 2021, around 57 percent of the respondents to a survey conducted in Russia believed that nuclear power generation was environmentally sustainable. The share of people agreeing on nuclear power being green has increased recent years. Since 2019, the nuclear electricity share in Russia has been around 20 percent.

In 2020, the survey was conducted from 14 to 28 February for 3,951 Russian citizens aged 18 and older. In 2019, it was conducted from 7 to 20 February for a sample of 3,985 Russian citizens aged 18 and older.
