Regardless of the type of disability, French people who consider that children with disabilities are well integrated into the school system - in terms of ease of access, socialization, or learning, for example - represented less than half of the population in 2022. However, there is a pronounced difference between physical and sensory disabilities on the one hand, and intellectual and psychological disabilities on the other. Thus, in 2022, while 45 percent of respondents considered children in wheelchairs to be well integrated, only about a quarter felt the same way about children with intellectual disabilities, mental disorders, and autism.
