According to a survey on consumers' cash usage in Malaysia in 2021, 59 percent of respondents said they carried less cash in their wallets since the COVID-19 pandemic, and 60 percent of respondents said they made fewer cash transactions. Only eight percent of respondents said they carried more cash.
