Tadalafil, which is used to treat erectile dysfunction, benign prostatic hyperplasia, and pulmonary arterial hypertension, accounted for 17 percent of all expenditures on this class of drugs. Sildenafil citrate and lorazepam followed, with 12 percent of sales value of drugs which cost must be covered entirely by private citizens.
