In 2022, almost 48 percent of people aged 60 and older in Germany had not bought a book in the last 12 months. 14.4 percent of respondents stated that they had bought 3-4 books. This survey asked German people aged 60 an dolder how many books they had purchased in the last 12 months. The Allensbach Market and Advertising Media Analysis (Allensbacher Markt- und Werbeträgeranalyse or AWA in German) determines attitudes, consumer habits and media usage of the population in Germany on a broad statistical basis.
