The minority of Japanese online shoppers made use of live commerce as revealed in a survey conducted in November 2021. The highest share of users was found among female respondents in their thirties, with four percent. The largest user base among men was in the age group 40 to 49 years and 50 to 59 years, with 3.7 percent of respondents in both cohorts having made purchases via livestream commerce.
