The market size for debit cards in the United States grew by roughly eight percent between 2020 and 2021, a slight deceleration compared to previous years. This according to estimates of the value of transactions conducted with cards with a debit function. Whilst not as popular as credit cards, debit cards do rank among the more popular payment methods available in the country for POS.
