*Broad-sense platform workers refer to individuals who have been assigned a job through a smartphone application or online website and have earned income within the last three months. Also included are people who found a job through job search websites and were eventually hired by an employer.
**Narrow-sense platform workers refer to individuals whose work is open to many people, whose wages are paid via the platform, and who work on platforms where customer satisfaction influences their work assignments, such as delivery drivers of food apps.
Platform workers refer to people who provide services through online platforms.
