Sales of gas heating units in Germany 2003-2023

In 2023, around 790,500 gas heating systems were sold in Germany. Of these, around 94,000 were operated using traditional low-temperature technology, while over 696,500 utilized condensing boiler technology.

Sales for both types of systems increased compared to 2022. However, traditional heating systems are on a downward trend overall, whereas sales of condensing technology heating systems have been rising over the past years, except for a dip in 2022.
