Based on a survey conducted among adult insurance owners in the United Kingdom in February 2024, 24 percent of respondents did not think it was necessary for insurers to collect data from sensors and connected devices and would prefer if they did not collect such data. 35 percent of respondents understood why insurance companies would want this type of data. However, they would prefer not to provide such information.
