Environmental footprint
The pulp and paper sector not only has a substantial environmental impact due to its high consumption of energy, water, and wood, but this industry also grapples with issues such as deforestation, loss of biodiversity, water scarcity, and waste management. These challenges necessitate the adoption of more sustainable forest management strategies, water conservation measures, and circular economy practices. Additionally, it is also vital that the sector works closely with environmental agencies and governments to ensure the sustainable use of land and natural resources.
