According to a survey from 2021, online shoppers in the Netherlands living in urban areas purchased more fashion, shoes, and accessories than those respondents living in rural areas. Fashion was the most purchased product among the shopping categories. In fact, almost 70 percent of all Dutch respondents had bought fashion items at least once online since January 2021.

The survey involved 23,394 participants across the following European countries: Czechia, Estonia, France, Germany, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Switzerland, and the United Kingdom.
* Between 800 and 1,556 participants were interviewed per country. All respondents had purchased physical products from online since January 2021, and received at least one package.
To the question: 'When it comes to online shopping, what have you ordered since January?'. The wording of the question chosen for this statistic may therefore differ slightly from the original.
