In 2020, around half of the working population in Morocco were paid workers who received wages or salaries. Specifically, approximately 47 percent of the women and 52 percent of the men were waged labor. Moreover, unpaid workers constituted 35 percent of the female working population, compared to nine percent of the male workers.
