The global production of pulp from fibers other than wood stood at 11.58 million metric tons in 2022. Non-wood pulp is mainly made from raw materials such as straw, bamboo, and sugarcane bagasse. In addition to non-wood fibers, the two other main raw materials used in papermaking are wood pulp and recovered paper pulp.
