This represents six times more resignations and conventional terminations than in the 2008-2009 school year. Moreover, this figure has been rising substantially over the past three years, from 0.23 in 2019-2020, to 0.32 the following year.
In 2019, the starting salary of a French primary school teacher amounted to only 31,300 U.S dollars per year.
