As of September 2, 2022, traditional advertising spending on political campaigns of Federal Deputies in Brazil amounted to around 80 million Brazilian reals. Candidates in the presidential elections have spent 43 million reals on traditional ads. Meanwhile, the spending on digital advertising for Federal Deputy candidates represented less than 10 percent of the amount invested in traditional media. Overall, digital formats represented only three percent of the total political ad spend in Brazil, amounting to around 18.9 million reals, against 220.3 million reals spent on traditional formats so far.
