The African average for those who feel Ramadan is a time to be generous and considerate of others was 87 percent. Furthermore, charity is at the core of Ramadan; this is reflected in the country's percentages of those who agree with the aforementioned sentiment.

Respondents were asked: "How strongly do you agree with the following statements: - Ramadan is a time for generosity and thinking about the needs of others?"
The sample is representative of the adult Muslim population of the given country in terms of gender and age.
