Ramadan food expenses this year compared to last year Africa by country 2022

In 2022, a survey conducted in the selected African countries found that most countries would spend the same on food as last year's Ramadan. Three out of five countries would have the same food expenses as last Ramadan. Moreover, the African average showed that 44 percent of respondents would spend the same. However, 42 percent of people would spend more.
Furthermore, food consumption tends to surge during the holy month as families feast in the evenings after hours of fasting. Shopping during this month usually revolves around food. Additionally, during Ramadan, consumers tend to spend more on gourmet dishes and imported foods to enjoy during Iftar.
