According to a survey conducted by Rakuten Insight in South Korea in July 2022, around 93.6 percent of female respondents and 89.7 percent of male respondents who had traveled abroad this year stated that they had done so for leisure or to go on a holiday. The share of those who had done so due to work or to visit somebody was significantly lower.
