According to a survey conducted in selected Middle Eastern countries in February to March 2022, 45 percent of all Muslim respondents plan to spend the same amount as last year during Ramadan in 2022. The share of Muslim respondents stating they want to spend more in comparison to the previous year during Ramadan was the highest in the UAE, with a share of 61 percent.
