Surveyed shortly before the start of the school year in September 2022, more than three out of five French people considered that improving teacher training and evaluation should be a priority measure to increase the performance of the education system. The second priority mentioned was the recruitment of more teachers: 56 percent of respondents considered this measure to be a priority, while only 32 percent did so in October 2013.

* The 2013 survey was conducted online for "Acteurs publics" from October 16 to 18, 2013 among a sample of 1,004 people, representative of the French population aged 18 and over. The 2022 survey was conducted on August 30-31, 2022.
