POS terminals in Mexico 2020, by state

The majority of all POS terminals located within Mexico were found in the country's capital and its surrounding areas. Mexico City had roughly POS terminals from banks and EACPs (Entidades de Ahorro y Crédito Popular), with another terminals coming from aggregators. Note, however, that the source refers to Mexico City as a federal entity (in Spanish: entidad) and not a city/municipality (in Spanish: municipio). The source does add that Monterrey - located in the federal entity of Nuevo León - had nearly POS terminals from banks and EACP in December 2020, but only adds limited figures for a few cities.
