During the first quarter of 2021, downloads of mobile games via the Google Play Store increased by over two percent compared to the corresponding quarter in 2021, reaching over 12 billion. Downloads of Android tool apps increased by 19 percent in the same period, reaching 2.53 billion, while social apps experienced a decrease of 10 percent in downloads, from 1.34 billion in the first quarter of 2021 to 1.21 billion in the first quarter of 2022.
