In 2021, around 51 percent of women in Germany thought that they should be in a relationship for a least a few years before getting married. The biggest difference in opinion was over the statement about whether men should propose: only about 19 percent of men agreed, in contrast with over 28 percent of women. This survey shows the difference between men and women's attitudes towards marriage in Germany.
