Get in touch with us nowIn 2022, the highest number of people in Sweden were employed in business service and financial industries, reaching around 830,000 employees. Of these, nearly 470,000 were men. Men also dominated within manufacturing, mining and quarrying, energy and environment, as well as several other industries. On the other hand, there were more female than male employees within human health and social work activities, education, and personal and cultural services. The industries with the highest average salaries in Sweden were those with a high number of male employees, which is the main explanation for the gender pay gap in the country.
