In 2022, malware and malicious file attacks accounted for the highest share of cybersecurity-related incidents handled by the Philippine National Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT-PH) at 48.9 percent. Meanwhile, there were 0.4 percent of unauthorized scanning incidents reported in that year.
CERT-PH is a government agency under the Cybersecurity Bureau of the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) in charge of receiving, reviewing, and responding to cybersecurity incident reports and activities.
