For the majority of clothing categories, the male Gen Z population in the U.S. primarily prefers to buy their clothes online, according to a 2022 survey. The only exceptions to this were the businesswear categories. Leisure wear was the clothing category most commonly bought online, with over 70 percent of respondents primarily using this channel.
