Most European respondents used their vehicles in both urban and rural areas, including 57 percent of SUV drivers and 50 percent of non-SUV drivers. By contrast, vehicle use was more popular in urban areas for respondents outside of Europe, including 58 percent of non-European SUV drivers.

The survey was realized in 17 countries, which include: Belgium, Brazil, China, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Mexico, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, South Africa, Spain, United Kingdom, United States, and Turkey.
Only one response possible, based on all respondents owning a vehicle.
